The most outstanding performance was from 7-year-old Zack Wolbert of the Pocono Piranhas, who went 5-for-5 in the morning, winning all three of his individual events, including a meet record performance in the 25-yard butterfly. Wolbert and teammates Bryden Fair, Colby Fair and Colin Naturale set meet records in the 100 medley and the 100 freestyle relays. The Pocono Summer Swim League was established in 1997, and now includes 10 teams from all around the Poconos, from Lake Wallenpaupack to Stroudsburg. Although some of the young athletes are summer swimmers only, and others swim year-round, the emphasis during the summer season is on having fun and improving skills.
