How to Join the Pocono Piranhas?

1. Choose the Program you are interested in participating in.
   • Pre Competitive Swim Team - Sessions are held October - July (Ages 4-10)
   • Take Your Mark Age Group Swim Team - Sessions are held October - July (Ages 11 & Up)
   • Stroke Clinics - August and September
   • Winter Swim Team - October - February
   • Spring Swim Team - April - June
   • Summer Swim Team - June - August (NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN)
   • Summer Swim Camp - August
   • USA Swimming - Runs all 12 months
   • Adult Masters Swim Team - November - February

4. Fill out registration form and bring to the Pocono Family YMCA - 809 Main Street Stroudsburg. The YMCA is open Monday - Friday 5:30am - 9:00pm, Saturday - 8:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday 12:00 noon - 5:00pm.

Note: All New Swimmers to our programs will need to be evaluated by one of our coaching staff before entering our Competitive or Pre-Competitive programs for the first time. To schedule an evaluation email Coach Mike mike@pfyswim.org

All evaluations and or try outs are free and do not obligate swimmer to join.

Pre-Competitive Requirements:
Performance Requirements: Pre-Competitive Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of free (front crawl stroke) with rotary breathing & 25 yards on their back.

Swimming Lesson Requirements:
Swimmers should have completed:
YMCA Guppy or Minnow Lesson Level or Red Cross Level 3 or higher
FLOATATION DEVICES ARE NOT PERMITTED

Winter, Spring and Summer Competitive Swim Teams:
Swimmers must to be able pass a simple swimming evaluation conducted by on of the Piranhas Coaching Staff or successfully qualify at one of our Try-Out Dates.
